California-based R1150RT rider Steve Chlavin has introduced a "better mousetrap" for BMW windshields. Steve is the owner of a company, Cee Bailey Aircraft Plastics, that manufactures aircraft windshields, so a motorcycle windshield was not a major problem.

Starting with the French Secdem windshield and BMW's windshields, Steve created a product that can only be described as better than both. It does not have the Secdem's minor distortions, and it uses thicker plastic than BMW's. Moreover, the Cee Bailey can be ordered in taller lengths than the Secdem and also in custom lengths. It can also be ordered in a variety of tints.

I, for one, and glad that Steve discovered the R1150RT! He is now producing a windshields for the R1xxxRT motorcycle models that are better than any I have ever used. Here is Steve's #2 style windshield, tinted light gray, mounted on an R1150RT:

Cee Bailey windshields for the R1200GS (left) and R1200RT are shown below:

Steve is now producing windshields and headlight guards for many BMW motorcycles as well as other makes.
